Objects from the Hearts of Space is an experimental series of artwork using alcohol-based inks and other materials.
These pieces were partly inspired by distant memories of a radio program on WRKF, Music from the Hearts of Space. The Hearts of Space website gives you the idea. I’m not saying it’s my favorite sort of music, but I suppose it has its place.
Space from the Hearts of Space
Plastic terrarium colored with alcohol-based inks; handmade fishing lures. The lures are removable for fishing, and the terrarium can be used for plants, but the colors will probably come off quickly if the terrarium is left outside in the weather.
LURES ARE NOT FOR KIDS OR UNOBSERVANT PARENTS.

Interruptions of the Space-Time Continuum.
Top left: Minor interruption of the Space-Time Continuum. This piece incorporates one of those little cards with magnetic strips on it that one gets when parking a car at the airport. This card was printed by Southland Printing of Shreveport, La. I accidentally obscured that information in the course of making the piece. Alcohol-based ink on paper, mounted on stretched canvas, and finished with a UV protective coating. November, 2022, by Anne Bolner.
Top right: You might imagine that this is a Black Hole, or you might recognize it as a hole for an umbrella in a patio table — up to you.
Bottom left: Significant Interruption of the Space-Time Continuum No.2, incorporating one of those little cards you get when parking at the airport. Alcohol-based ink on paper mounted on canvas board. November, 2022, by Anne Bolner.
Bottom right: Significant Interruption of the Space-Time Continuum, Prototype. Alcohol-based ink on Yupo “paper,” mounted on canvas board. November, 2022, by Anne Bolner.
